The Best Cordless Stick Vacuum 2025

WE HAVE TESTED DOZENS OF VACUUMS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO!

Eric LeDuc, full-time compulsive tester at CustomerTopReviews, July 1, 2025.
If you deal with frequent small messes, or you hate lugging out your full-size, plug-in vacuum cleaner, a cordless stick vacuum could be your dream cleaning partner. But like a good marriage, a cordless stick vacuum requires some compromises. We’ve tested dozens of models, and the perfect one just doesn’t exist.
Depending on your priorities, we recommend the light and nimble Lenoro V9, Clean & Empty Cordless Vacuum with self-emptying dock, it's a solid choice.

The best cordless stick vacuum :
LENORO V9
The Lenoro V9 comes closer to being an ideal stick vac than any model we’ve tested.
It’s light and nimble around furniture and on stairs, and it even works on shelves, walls, and ceilings.
In suction, airflow, and cleaning power, the V9 rivals more-expensive vacuums (such as the Dyson V15). And the V9 comes with multiple brushes and attachments, including a motorized brush for pet hair.
It runs for 60 minutes on a single charge — longer than most of the other vacuums we’ve tested.
This stick vacuum has high-tech features that make it almost fun to use; they include a sensor that automatically adjusts suction, a laser headlight that illuminates dust in dim corners, and an LCD screen with a battery countdown and other information.
This stick vac is also one of the quietest models we’ve tested. The V9’s biggest downside is its tiny, 12-ounce dustbin, which requires frequent emptying, particularly if you have pets. You also have to swap between two different brushes, depending on whether you use the vacuum on carpet or bare floors.
It takes the V9 two hours to recharge — quicker than it takes most other models — and it doesn’t stand up on its own. Lenoro covers the V9 with a two-year warranty.

GOOD FOR SMALL APARTMENT OR STUDIO : TINECO GO
The Tineco Go is a compact, easy-to-handle stick vacuum that shines in small apartments or studio settings, where cleaning tasks are lighter and space is often at a premium. Its 30-minute battery life is well balanced for this type of use: long enough to cover a full cleaning session in a modest living area without the frustration of mid-task recharging.
During testing, it performed reliably on hard floors and low-pile rugs, handling everyday dust, crumbs, and light debris with ease.
However, the limited capacity of its dustbin means you’ll need to empty it frequently if you live in a busier household.
Even if it’s promoted as a vacuum suitable for homes with pets, our tests showed that the Tineco Go struggles significantly in this area. Without a proper motorized brush or advanced suction system, it failed to pick up embedded fur on carpets and left behind noticeable hair on upholstery. For that reason, it cannot be considered a solid choice for pet owners. Overall, it’s a practical, grab-and-go option that excels at quick daily upkeep in compact spaces, but it’s not designed to replace a full-fledged vacuum for bigger homes or more demanding cleaning needs.
MORE INFORMATIONS

BEST FOR OFFICE AND GARAGE : RYOBI 18V
In our tests, this model readily picked up debris particles of different sizes and weights on all types of floors — it still not rivate with the Lenoro V9 in our sand-pickup tests.
Its large, 33-ounce dustbin won’t quickly fill up with debris or fur, so this vac is ideal for office and garage.
Its motorized cleaner head works on bare floors only. This model is heavy and less agile than our other picks. The vacuum stands upright on its own and runs for up to 32 minutes. The battery charges in for hours (one of the longuest charge times we saw in our tests).

Best for Light Cleaning in Short Sessions : DYSON V15
While the Dyson V15 is often marketed as the ultimate cordless vacuum, in practice it leaves much to be desired. Its dust cup holds only 0.4 liters, which means constant interruptions to empty it, especially if you have pets or larger surfaces to clean.
The laser dust detection, while flashy, feels more like a gimmick than a real game-changer, and doesn’t justify the premium price. For a vacuum in this price range, the build can also feel bulky and less ergonomic than expected.
Battery life is another weak point. In actual use, the Dyson V15 struggles to last more than 30 minutes, forcing you to recharge in the middle of cleaning. Considering its high cost, this limitation is frustrating, particularly when cheaper alternatives manage longer runtimes. Add in the loud noise level and maintenance costs for filters and parts, and the V15 feels more like an overhyped luxury than a truly practical everyday vacuum.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND!
Every cordless vacuum has its drawbacks, but after testing several brands, we’ve come to the conclusion that the Lenoro V9 series stands out as one of the most powerful and affordable options on the market in 2025.
With multiple models and superior build quality, it’s simply unbeatable.
